All attention turns to Jack, King for the day. One last burst of energy and Jack is slain to release the spirit of summer. Leaves from the Jack-in-the-Green are distributed and Hastings Traditional Jack in the Green is over for another year.

There are plenty of leaves for everyone and you only need one leaf from Jack to gain good luck. Let Jack’s attendants distribute the leaves. Pass backwards if you have already received one.
