Come along to Ore Community library for a day of Jack in the Green activities.
11am: Make a stick puppet to celebrate Hastings Traditional Jack in the Green.
The procession is formed of all kinds of costumed characters - from sweeps, bogies, milkmaids, animals and morris dancers, to musicians and giants. Learn about these characters and what they wear, to inspire your own stick puppet.

Rattlebag are a 5-piece, acapella group from Hastings. They have hats, headdresses and harmonies,
and they will entertain you with folk and contemporary songs. Their unique arrangements have delighted
crowds at festivals, folk-clubs and singarounds since 2005. This year is our 20th Anniversary! To
celebrate we have a new album of Spring and Summer songs, ‘Come Revellers All’.
Rattlebag welcome families and friends to this singaround. Have a turn and sing your favourite family song together. We ask that everyone is quiet when people are singing their song. If the singer says they’d like you to join in, then please do. Before you come, think about a song or nursery rhyme that you would like to share, one that you know well enough to sing in front of everyone.
