Ceilidh with Pigeon Swing and Baz Parkes

  • St Mary in the Castle Pelham Crescent Hastings, England, TN34 United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a great evening with fantastic music supplied by Pigeon Swing. Caller Baz Parkes will get you up on your feet and dancing!

The Pigeon Swing plays lively traditional Québécois music in an English style, to get the dance floor rocking and the feet tapping. The music is honed perfectly for ceilidhs, barn dances and concerts, and the band has appeared at numerous festivals and ceilidh clubs.

‘Great to dance to, great to listen to, a whole new and wonderful repertoire.’ Matt Norman

Members of the Pigeon Swing have been involved in many major, influential English dance bands - including the Old Swan Band, Flowers and Frolics, the Oyster Band, Gas Mark Five, Edward II and Tiger Moth - and bring their wealth of dance-band experience to their unique, unusual and exciting repertoire.

From left to right: Ian Kearey: bass guitar, Dan Quinn: melodeon, Martin Brinsford: harmonica, mouth harp, percussion, Paul Burgess: fiddle, Tim Normanton: banjo
